Fortismere or St Mary Magdalene

I am considering where to move and schools play a big role in this. Any opinions on the two schools above?

I don't have a child at either school, but from what I've heard, they're very different. SMMA is pretty disciplined and traditional in its teaching methods; there's a lot of homework. When I toured the school, it seemed calm, almost too calm.

Fortismere - this is only hearsay, but I've heard of kids struggling with other kids' behaviour there. My own teenage DS said it has a "bad rep". But I believe academically it gets good results?

That aside, Highbury and Muswell Hill are very different areas. Have you looked at transport? That would be a huge concern for me, if moving to the Fortismere catchment, which is much further out and less well-connected than the SMMA area.
