Camden School for Girls sixth form?

Hi all,

DS is currently in Year 11 at a North London private. He’s doing very well there, happy and has a great bunch of friends.

He is open to the idea of a change for A-levels and obviously it would be very financially helpful/less stressful not to worry about fees!

We are checking out CSG next week. I hear very good things - but I was wondering if anyone has any experience of their son going there? DS is at a co-ed school and most of his mates are boys. I wonder if it can feel a bit odd being in such a minority in a girls school? Would appreciate any insight!

If helpful - DS is pretty academic (predicted 8s/9s for GCSE) and is leaning towards towards humanities subjects for A-level.

Thanks so much!

I don't have any experience of CSG but we are also due to visit the sixth form (no idea geographically how far they typically go out for offers and they have never published any indications of this for sixth form) but I don't think boys are in such big minority there.
A friend with a daughter there said the head told her that typically 1/3 of kids come up from the lower school, 1/3 external girls and 1/3 external boys. So about 1/3 boys in sixth form (though there are some subject differences - my friend said more of the boys are doing maths and stem type subjects vs humanities). So that's a better gender balance compared to schools like St Marylebone and Grey Coats.
