Sixth Form Options around Henley for A level music

Just wondering if anyone can advise on sixth form options around Henley for my daughter who wants to study A level music (she's currently in year 10). It's not offered at the Henley College and I can't see any options other than Shiplake which is above our budget. Thanks!

It's a girls grammar. They have extra spaces for 6th form so depending on where you live and gcse grades she could get in.

Piggott School in Twyford/Wargrave do Music A Level, and is a good commute from Henley. A great school, but no idea how good Music is there. I think only a small cohort do it each year, but imagine that's the same all over. FYI, it's their 6th form open eve this week so a great time to check it out

RGS High Wycombe now takes girls in the 6th form, and their music department is excellent. There is a public bus from Henley to Wycombe.

Borlase in Marlow still offers Music, according to its website and has a strong performing arts slant. What a shame that Henely College don't offer it. I would have thought with their size it was a feasible subject to offer :-(

And Wallingford School offered it last year (their 2026 options don't seem to be up yet), as does Highdown in Caversham.

Lord Williams's, Thame

Both Borlase in Marlow and Wycombe High have outstanding music departments. In addition to A level music they both offer extensive extra curricular music opportunities. Borlase has a theatre. They are both grammar schools and the entrance requirements are on their websites.
