Social, Medical and Emotional application - when do you find out?

We've applied to a secondary school for our Year 6 son on the basis of social, medical and emotional need. When do you find out whether your application has been successful? Is it the same as the standard state school applications, or earlier?

TIA

I imagine it will be at the same time as other offers, unless you are talking about naming a school on an EHCP? Was it a school you were unlikely to be offered a place at otherwise?

If the application is through the naming of a specific school on an EHCP, then this is meant to be finalised by mid February iirc.

If it is just one of your preferences on yoir CAF (presumably your first preference, since the supporting documentation you submit from a professional involved will have to say that this is the only school suitable, and why - and this is a school with an 'medical/ social need' criterion in its policy), then you will find out on national offer day in March whether the application has been successful.

This isn’t an ehcp application.

There is no universal answer. Some schools let parents know when they have made the decision. However, with most schools you find out when offers come out.
