Moving to the Inner Area for Tiffin Girls

DD has passed the first stage test for Tiffin Girls and is doing fairly well in the mock tests for stage 2. We are currently living in the designated area but just on the edge of the inner area.

Is it worth moving into the inner area at this time of the year. For context, we are renting a property and would be moving to another rental property. Is it worth it and is there a cut-off date to move into the inner area?

Not sure what to do here!

The admissions policy for the school appears to indicate that address rules are per those determined by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The latter allows up to 8th December for movers who had made an on-time application to prove their new address. However, my advice would be to get it in writing from the admissions officer at the school as to exactly how your plan would affect your current application.

Thanks for your response. We are not changing the council. We live in Richmond council and will still be in Richmond council but inside the inner area for Tiffin Girls School so what rules apply in that case. Moving would mean that we won't be in area B for Waldergrave School which was our second choice.

I dont think it would be worth it - this year the score of the top person on the waiting list from the inner area was only a point below the cut off for places being offered on national offer day to designated area and the waiting list places offered went below that score anyway. They only keep one waiting list after national offer day so there would be no real advantage being in the inner area. You can get a sense of how it worked out this year here: https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/11plus/viewtopic.php?t=65824&start=80

To close the conversation, we got a confirmation from Kingston council that you need to have moved into the property by 8th December (their cut-off date) and also should have moved out of the previous address and they require evidence of both these things in writing.

We decided not to move because it wasn't worth the hassle. DD has worked hard and hopefully she will make it without being in the inner area.
