North Cestrian or Wellington School (Altrincham)?

interested in parent’s thoughts on these two schools - the exam results look fairly similar but what is the culture like at the school, are they both as good as the other? Any downsides? Just looking into options in our catchment ahead of time - thanks!

My understanding is that numbers-wise, North Cestrian is a lot smaller - I'm sure when we were looking their y7 intake was about 100 lower than Wellington but double check. They also didn't have a 6th form when we looked into it. Have heard good things about both. Wellington has a good repetition for SEN.

Wellington, but catchment is only around 0.5 miles currently, but with lower birth rates it might grow.

There’s talk of North Cestrian expanding into the old Loreto prep site, so may have more places available in future. I’ve not heard great things about it though.
