HELP! Relocating to Surrey & need help with secondary applications TADWORTH/REIGATE

I am relocating after xmas from essex to surrey & have viewed some schools with my daughter for her secondary applications due next week EEKKK. It seems that there are NO schools that close to Lower Kingswood that we would get in to on distance.
Any advice!?

Beacon in Banstead is probably nearest.

Thanks for your reply. I have looked at this, and looks pretty awful. Not great OFSTED reports either :-(

Otherwise they would travel to Reigate , Epsom or Coulsdon. Where have you visited?

Would they still accept us on catchment? We have visited st Andrew's our no1 and Rosebery, a close second (but seems v over subscribed and i worry putting it as our second choice we don't stand a chance), St Bede's we are catholic but i have not attended church enough for my priest to sign the SIF forms... The priory (but was very underwhelmed by this school). We saw Reigate secondary but my daughter really didn't like it. I didn't get a chance to view Carrington but seems on the up a little now.
Do you have any specific recommendations?

Surrey LA does not use catchments, but will allocate on distance. St Bedes you would need a sif to get a faith place. Carrington is still not great. Will you even get a place at an oversubscribed school if you do not move until after Christmas?

Sorry yes i meant on distance, it just seems other than The Beacon or St Andrew's everything is so far away... I don't know but i have to try to get her in somewhere i guess. Will try some of the Epsom schools i guess.

Disagree that Carrington “is still not great”. My daughter went there, got mostly 9s for GCSEs. She had an interview for Oxford University, got offers from Durham and Exeter. Many of her friends were similar and are now at good unis. My son is still there and doing really well.

It’s very close to Redhill bus and train stations so accessible from lots of places.
