Finding the right secondary school for my child

Hi everyone,
my child is in year 6 and thus we are looking for the right secondary school for him.
we are based in Woking and our nearest school is Winston. At the moment the choice looks to be between Woking high and WC.
i was initially much keener on Woking high as it seemed to be a nurturing environment. My child is extremely sensitive and quite introverted. Academically my child does well but socially things can be hard for them.Does anyone have experience with a similar sounding child in a big school? I’d ideally love to know if anyone has experience with a child of a similar disposition and if their child went to Woking or Winston and how they found it. In advance - thank you to anyone who can any insight.
thanks

They are both quite large school, but Winston is bigger and a specialist sports college.

I think Woking High is well thought of. I don’t know about WC.

Do you meet the admission criteria for both?

Yes , we meet admissions criteria for both. Forgot to say we have been to school open evenings and mornings
