Secondary for boys in Lewisham?

Hello, moving back to Lewisham after living abroad for a few years, and trying to get my head around secondary options for boys. We would be in Brockley/Honor Oak and while I've read about the many fab girls schools, there is less out there about options for boys.
Kids are pretty standard; fairly academic, fairly sporty. Very grateful for any clarity!

Forest Hill Boys, if you are that side of the borough?

Thanks for the reply! I gather that Forest Hill does a fair job - I'm curious about what kind of sports they offer. I do like what I understand about the comprehensive culture, that they educate everyone. The two options seem to be that or Prendergast Ladywell, but I can find almost nothing recent about the latter.

I can't give a first-hand recommendation for Prendergast Ladywell, but a couple I know whose judgement seems very sound have sent their son there and as far as I know he is doing well and they are happy with it. He's a very bright lad. I doubt he's particularly sporty, though. He must be year 8 or 9 now.

Forest Hill is a good school. My eldest went there and did really well. Lots of bright kids there, very supportive.

I've also got friends who are happy with Prendergast Ladywell and with Harris Peckham.

My son goes to Forest Hill and is very happy. Bright boy, very sporty, great group of friends. I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Very good to hear! Do most of the Forest Hill boys stay for sixth form?

They do in the main yes, none of my son's friends left. The sixth form is joined up with Sydenham girls.
