Missing school in first year of GCSE

Hello
My DD is missing a lot of school at the moment - eg this week she was not in monday or today. It’s due to being wiped out by a medication change and epilepsy seizures.
She only started seizures earlier this year so we’re trying to get the medication right.
Shes already dropped one GCSE to take the pressure off and give her some independent study time to catch up. But currently the tiredness is off the scale.
I don’t really know what i’m asking - maybe if the first term is a total write off, is it still mainly salvageable?

Mine missed a lot of content owning to health. We made up for it in the last two terms with tutoring, dropping a gcse and parental help structuring revision to fill gaps and understand question formula for each subject. Don’t panic yet but make sure school share what she is missing so you can make up missing content when she’s ready. Tough, but all they actually need is enough to do what they want next. Focus on getting the health stuff sorted right now and going to as much school as is possible.
