Anyone still waiting for gcse remark result ?

Is anyone’s DC still waiting to hear back from AQA for a GCSE remark? I thought we should have heard back by now. The request was sent in by school on 3rd Sept. It was for a humanity subject.

@NanaStrikesAgain I'd be in contact with the EO. We've had all ours back from that part of the month. Mainly waiting for those post 15th Sept. (I'm an EO)

I emailed the EO to ask when/if they were submitted and no response so god knows what is going on.

If the EO messed up and forgot to make the application, most exam boards will still do the application even past the closing date, assuming there is a dated application for you.

Dont believe the EO if they push back and say no. They absolutely can!

Thank you - that is very useful to know. Forms were completed on results day and 3 days later, so we're not last minute. But EO not responding and I hate being THAT parent and chasing.

I work in a private school and I move at speed for complaining parents!!

Also they should be doing their job and checking. If edexcel then they are usually back in a couple of days.

Did you get confirmation from the EO to say it had been requested?

I emailed when I sent in the forms. I signed to say I would pay the fees.

I emailed the English teachers.

I have had one paper back with no change (the one I was least interested in).

Emailed before the deadline to check that the papers requested by DD had been sent off.

It is a MASSIVE school so I am bearing in mind that the poor EO is potentially swamped, but I am now stressing that they decided not to send without telling me.

I also asked for a BTEC script - not for a remark, but so DD could see it and where she made errors. No response.

It isn't up to the EO whether they send it. If your child signed the consent form, and you agreed to pay, the centre should have sent it.

Ring up and ask to speak to them.

And don't apologise or be overly nice. Channel what the parents I deal with use.. Be confident and bolshi!

I am stunned that you didn't get confirmation that the application had been made tbf. We immediately reply once the application is made and it's gone into a spreadsheet of outstanding requests.

It just seems really odd to still be waiting now when the forms were submitted on the 21st and 26th August.

Don't email, call through the school office. I promise they will sort it much faster. I would.

I've just looked at my AQA outstanding reviews. The furthest back they go is 24th September. Everything from before that date has been reviewed and the outcome made available.

Then how come my EO doesn't have the results? It's a little worrying. He said he'll ring them today but I get a sense he is disorganised ..... and I'm panicking that he didn't even send it!

OK so it maybe that the examiner just hasn't reviewed it yet, don't panic. If the EO says it is marked as 'still in progress' on AQA centre services then it will be marked.
