Looking for a specific style of black puffer for DD in Y7

Hello! Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I've seen other threads about school coats, so here it goes. My DD11 is in secondary in London. Luckily, the students do wear coats there and it's getting colder so I am looking for one for her. Typically she's not too picky, but now she says there's one style she's seen multiple girls wear that she really likes (but no one she actually knows to ask them where it's from...). She says it's a black puffer but with an elastic zip up at the neck as well elastic cuffs with thumb holes. They're not allowed anything with brand markings, so no help there.

I've spent the last hour scouring the internet and cannot find anything like this. Her school is in a reasonably deprived area, so hopeful it's nothing too pricey! If anyone could point me in the direction of a coat that matches this description, I'd be very thankful!

I sounds like a running jacket. Like this Lululemon one. Sorry, it is pricy. https://www.lululemon.co.uk/en-gb/p/down-for-it-all-700-down-fill-jacket/prod11620005.html?dwvar_prod11620005_color=0001

No I don’t think this is it! The neck isn’t ribbed and that looks too slim to go easily over a blazer. She said it’s a fairly standard puffer coat but with ribbed/elasticated neck and wrists with thumb holes. I appreciate the help though 😀

you know though, I’ve just been searching for girls’ coats that match this criteria. Guess it’s likely these girls are wearing women’s coats 🤦‍♀️ I’ll search a bit more broadly.

Ooh this is a possibility. The neck isn't how she described, but the rest sounds right. I'll check with her tomorrow. Thanks!

I don't think this is what she's describing and I think the branding is way too noticeable to get by at school! I'll ask her though. Thanks!

Have you looked on Shein? Most teens shop there now

Haha yes I did. Didn't find anything similar though.

@PiFilling knowing the kids from the school where I work it could well be this one from hollister as that’s a popular brand : https://www.hollisterco.com/shop/uk/p/faux-fur-trim-puffer-bomber-jacket-61001859-1005?faceout=model&seq=03&pagefm=navigation-grid&prodvm=navigation-grid

That’s got to be it! Don’t know that I want to show it to DD though as I don’t fancy spending £80 on a jacket for an 11 year old 😅😅

Thanks so much!

She thinks it's the Hollister one but has compromised and will try the Stradivarius since it's half the price. She's quite petite though so a women's XS may not cut it and she'll just end up with a plain, girls puffer.

It’s north face here for every teen!
