Hello, I am trying to get an understanding of Maidstone Girls, Mayfield, Togs, TWiggs, Wilmington, Weald from a perspective of ND girls. I have read about issues at Mayfield for instance. Has anyone got first hand knowledge they could share to help me with thinking about everything? Our daughter is autistic and ADHD, bright but will definitely need support on the social/emotional through secondary.

Hi, I have two ND girls, one at TWGGS and one at Bennet.
The SEN at TWGGS is great, my DD is struggling with anxiety and is overwhelmed sometimes - the school is very supportive.
Quite a different experience from Bennett.

We left Wilmington as my DD struggled with the academic pace and length of lessons having ADHD. She struggled behaviourally as well which doesn’t really work in a grammar as there is a low tolerance unlike a state sch. We ended up funding a private school which had smaller classes and 1-1 support. It saved her and her GCSE results. Wilmington tried and I don’t have anything bad to say about them but the grammar approach just wasn’t for her. I would have a really good conversation with the SEN unit at each sch so you are really clear on the support being offered. It is too stressful once they are there and it starts to go wrong. Good luck.
