Hi All
I need to find w32 l36 grey school trousers for my skinny tall 14 year old.
He is pretty much 80% leg so even L 34 let down don't seem to cut it.
Has anyone seen any around by any chance. ?

Thanks

My ds is now 23, but is also tall and slim so we always had the same problem

I used to have some success with ASOS. The only problem though were stock issues. They do the sizes but don’t always have them in stock

mnahmnah · 17/07/2025 13:12

M&S do lots of combinations of leg length, skinny fit leg and skinny fit waist

I used to buy school trousers from M&S for my son, they had to be ordered online, not available in the shops. I can’t remember what size but he is now 6ft 7 so very tall!

BestieBunch · 17/07/2025 16:15

Check out 2tall.com my OH is 6’7” and will only buy trousers/jeans from here!

Pattygonia · 17/07/2025 16:19

It’s a few years ago but I used to get 32 waist, 36 leg from Next for my son. For some styles they do (or did anyway) a long which was 34 inches and an extra long which was 36

Pattygonia · 17/07/2025 16:20

Agree that 2Tall is excellent and that’s where he gets most of his clothes now - but their trousers tend to be much more expensive than the Next ones!

Liliwen · 17/07/2025 16:24

My tall 13 year old wears the X long ones from m and s. So he gets the age 13-14 so they fit in the waist but they are extra long leg

WhatICallMyUsername · 17/07/2025 16:40

My tall skinny 14 year old is just about grown out of them but he wears age 16 slim fit trousers from Next. I will be buying some more in age 17 or 18 for next year!

There’s another thread about this I posted on but got 36L from David Luke

SneakyScarves · 17/07/2025 17:29

36" length is very long - longer than even M&S’s longer length ‘extra long’ school trousers will go according to their size guide at least, though you could try them and see if/when they become available (seem to always be sold out).

Have you tried looking for men's trousers in that size? More expensive but it sounds like he’s (a tall) man size now!

NewsdeskJC · 17/07/2025 17:42

2tall website do black/charcoal trousers in a 32" waist and a 36" inside leg. They are £30 a pair but usually a discount for a first order and they really do fit properly.

NewsdeskJC · 17/07/2025 17:44

I see others are endorsing the 2 tall website!

lizzyBennet08 · 17/07/2025 17:45

Thanks so much everyone. Lots to try there

fingers crossed I get him sorted.

Thanks all

Had a look at the 2tall website which is great. The 32 waist is sold out typical! Might try the w34 one and hope he starts filling out !

My child is well over 6ft . Marks and Spencer’s are the best . They do a tall range in the school section . With adjustable hem . Good value at £20 and was beautifully and don’t need ironing .

he is W32 L36 so got the age 17-18 x

lizzyBennet08 · 17/07/2025 17:58

Pa tried David Luke and m&s and all flipping sold out in his size . Totally my fault for not getting on this sooner .

The bigger sizes are so hard to get hold of . Sign up for the stock alerts and check the store stock . The bigger sizes tend to be online though , I always check randomly if I’m up late xx

The M&S trousers are available now if you wanted to order and try!

Thanks a mill. Ordered!

36” will be longer than most shops’ “extra length” measurements. Our school uses schoolblazer.com. They do a 32”W 35”L and may have enough hem to let down. I’m not sure how you order from them if your school isn’t registered, but their customer services is really helpful.

cantkeepawayforever · 25/07/2025 10:22

I feel your pain! DS needed 26 waist, 36 inside leg for school - the late lamented BHS was the only possible source. He’s only 28 inch waist in his mid 20s, but the fashion for slightly short trousers is suiting him well!

lonelyplanet13 · 25/07/2025 17:43

Do you have a specific shop to buy your branded school wear from ?
our local one used to sell a massive range of non branded essentials , such as trousers . They have the contacts to contact suppliers directly for sizes that wouldn’t be off the rack
