Tiffin Sports aptitude Test

Anyone participate Tiffin Sports aptitude Test?

My son attended and he is a good football player and didn't pass the first stage. I was surprised because he could run long distance in Sports day. 8 mins run is absolutely no problem to him. I asked him why and he said it is not fair test. The space is narrow and there are many students ahead of them are friends who ran together and he could not take over. There were many groups of students. Group A could have much space for running but Group B is very crowded,. Also the makers were a year 10 students!! It is misleading test and could not pick right children for the sports team.

Yes, my ds did it last year and tbh I think many of these tests are not 100 fair or accurate. I think many can slip through the cracks. But they probably do not have the time or bandwidth to test everyone properly. My ds passed the first stage and got a good ranking spot for the second stage, but he is also extremely sporting (coming first for most running races, being named player of the year for one sport, named player of the match often for another sport). I think with the lack of space it is hard to get an accurate understanding of how many laps they can actually do in the 8 minutes. I read in one thread last year about a boy who was being blocked from passing.
