Fullbrook secondary in west byfleet/ new haw Surrey?

Hi parents, does anyone have knowledge of Fullbrook school in West Byfleet / Woodham / New Haw borders please? We are thinking of moving to the area and this is the only catchment area we’d be in for secondary.

I have kids in year 6 and year 4. One very sporty and bright (standardised scores over 120 with no efforts) and probably ADHD. my other child is less academic (standardised scores 85-95) and mildly dyslexic. So ideally the schools would be stretching the older one who works at greater depth, and also have support and interventions for the younger one who needs extra time, more support and slower pace of learning.

they both currently do lots of activities and sports so after school clubs would also be ideal.

any feedback on Fullbrook, good or bad would be great fully received. Also on the area - is it a nice place to live? It seems to be. Thank you!

It’s a good school. Big but that means that the kids can find friendship groups. Decent amount of clubs and I think the sports teams do pretty well. They set for PE in year 7 which I think makes sense. Not sure about stretch in class but they enter kids in the uk maths challenge and other academic competitions and seem to do fairly well. SEN department is very good and responsive. Teachers variable (doubt you’d get any different elsewhere) but for the big issues school have been pretty responsive.

Area is good. Mix of leafy Surrey and less affluent areas and plenty of outside clubs for a broad range of interests.

It's an excellent school. It just had a change of head teacher about three years ago, and it has massively improved. Their sports teams are very good. I believe the U16 girls' football team made it all the way to the English Cup Final, and the school screened the final via live link, and everyone watched it.

I have friends' kids who attend and they are all very happy
