Hi - DS is due to start high school in September. Didn’t pass the Trafford 11+ (although very close) we put CHS South as no 1 and William Hulme Grammar as 2nd. We were offered WHG which I was really happy about! Always wanted to send my children to a grammar and couldn’t afford to go private.
DH preferred CHS South as facilities are newer/cleaner and results are just as good as WHG although established much later. A place opened up at CHS South and as we put it as our no 1 choice, we were offered it.
I’m wanting to go with WHG but due to the above reasons, DH still prefers CHS. DS is happy with either as he has friends going to both.
Anyone have experiences of either school? Advice appreciated!
