We are in the process of relocating to Chester to be closer to family. We're planning to move in time for my eldest to start year 7 in September 2026 and are therefore in the position to choose where we live in order to best suit her and her two siblings in terms of schooling.
I'm from Chester originally so have a knowledge of all the schools, but from 20 years ago when Queens / Kings were highly pressured and Abbey Gate was lovely but not at all academic.
I'm most interested in Christleton and Tarporley High School, Abbey Gate College, Kings and The Grange.
Ruling out Queens as i'd like all three at one school ideally.
Not wedded to definitely sending them privately if the state secondaries are just as good - any opinions on this?
My kids are all academically able.
Eldest is very musical.
Middle one would not respond well to high academic pressure.
Little one is sporty.
Where would you put them?
