Grammar School Leeds or St Peter's York

Hi,

My DD has got offers from both Leeds Grammar school and St Peter's York for year 8 entry. She is quite academic. Commute to either school is fine. Just wanted to check/understand which school to go for.

Where do you live for those commute to be ok? Presumably wetherby or garforth maybe. Think about why you’re leaving Y7 and what you’re looking for in the new place?

overall I think they’re quite different schools, i know people at both. GSAL is academic and pushy, more middle class new money. St P has more status and nurture and the air of superiority

We are relocating from London so can be near the selected school. Moving due to jobs.
