St Gabriel’s Newbury for boys?

Hi, I am looking for a senior school for my DS who is 11, so would be starting in year 9. I think the small class sizes and a supportive environment would be great, as worried he would be overwhelmed in a large school. Does anyone know how boys are integrating into the school and also is it academically quite strong?

I'd like to know this too

They are slowly integrating more boys into the years and although not an academic hothouse (part of SG’s appeal), the academic results are hold their own and they promote pupils finding the best version of themselves, whether that is striving for medical school or becoming an artist.

Hi, I've got one boy there. He's loving it. Not so keen on the sports but is developing to be his own self. School are very supportive.
I don't know what other schools are like, there does seem to be quite a lot of academic pressure, examinations and homework. However my child certainly needs the structure provided.

They are Flexible and soon to get the best of each individual child.

As fees rise, I question myself often but I still think it was the right decision for us. The small group of boys in year 9 stuck together initially, then broke into two main groups, and now they're pretty integrated with the girls.

Very happy to chat more if you want to DM me.
