Brighton College, Sevenoaks or Charterhouse

DS got accepted into Brighton College and Charterhouse and I think has a good chance with Sevenoaks (assessments coming up soon), all for full boarding. We liked all three schools when visiting, perhaps Brighton and Sevenoaks somewhat more than Charterhouse. I am trying to figure out how to best think about the choice among these three schools. I know one major factor is A Levels vs IB, as Brighton only does the former and Sevenoaks only the latter. DS has a broad set of interests (with emphasis on STEM) and enjoys academic rigour. Would you have any thoughts on relative attractiveness of theses schools, in addition to the A Levels vs IB factor? Thank you!

Hi, I'm a sevenoaks student, love the school, but it is a lot of work! I don't know a lot about boarding, but I know that the boarding staff tend to be very nice and that boarding houses have a very tight-knit family-like community.

There are a lot of extracurriculars, but finding a balance between extra-curriculars and free time is pretty hard sometimes. IB is A LOT of work but tends to be better for international unis, and also better than A-levels for uni applications (this is what I have heard but not sure). There are lots of STEM clubs. There's a rocket club, AI club, dissasembly club where you take apart laptops and washing machines, and other clubs too!

Good luck!
