Good schools for Blackburn, Aberdeenshire

Hi ladies. I'm new in Scotland. I'm moving to Blackburn, Aberdeenshire, AB21OHR from England and I'm looking for a good secondary school for my daughter near the area. The Aberdeenshire council has advised that Kemnay secondary school serves our catchment area and I've seen bad reviews about this school. Any recommendation of a good secondary school near Blackburn? I would love for my daughter to go to either Cults Academy or Aberdeen Grammar school ,but I don't know if the council will approve our application since both schools fall under Aberdeen city. I'll highly appreciate your recommendations. Thank you

Hello, I'm in Aberdeen city and I'm afraid you have no chance of accessing Cults Academy or Aberdeen Grammar - even kids who move into catchment after S1 struggle to get places. I know that buses for the private schools in the city go through Blackburn if that's an option for you. Good luck with your move!
