Richmond secondary schools last distances offered?

Does anyone in Richmond borough have the stats for last distance offered today? I think they are normally in the letter you get through the post in the next couple of days, but they may also be in the email. I'm interested for next year. TIA.

I don't understand how Christ's can say all preferences met for the Foundation places whilst also showing they have waiting list for those places?!?

Ignore this.

3 other schools say the same thing (Hampton High, RTS and Twickemham School). So just me being a bit thick 🙄

I think this means that they didn't fill up on preferences, but they did fill up on allocations (that's people who didn't get any of their 6 choices, so were allocated the nearest school with a place). Even after the allocations, there are usually some people still without a place, which accounts for the waiting lists.

Lots will drop out to go private before September (but maybe not as many as usual given the VAT situation and cost of living crisis).

It's surprising that RPA wasn't fully subscribed on preferences. It's a good school, with above average KS4 results, and tops the borough chart at KS4 for high prior attainers. You'd think it would be on the list of preferences for anyone within easy travel distance.

Maybe it's due to lack of knowledge on how the system works. People either think they'll be allocated it, so don't need to list it, or else think they don't have any chance of a place so don't bother.

The second page shows that a lot of the schools were asked to make offers over PAN but doesn't say by how many including RPA so it may be that everyone who had put it as a preference and didn't ger another school got a place there, not necessarily that they had to centrally allocate to fill it.

The schools usually put the number of offers they made in each category on their websites, so you should be able to check how many offers there were overall.
