I am looking at secondary schools for my son in Year 6. I realise I missed the deadline for secondary school transfer for year 7 and may not have many choices. My son is quiet, hard working but not confident. Can you please advise on the following schools. Are there any other schools that I should be considering in the area. The nearest school is St Georges but we are not Catholic and I don't know if they admit children of other faiths.

Just seen this us an old thread, but in case it's still helpful, we've found Marylebone Boys is very friendly and nurturing. It's smaller and although of course there are loads of noisy children there too, the quieter boys seem to feel safe and welcome among them.

Agree re MBS. It’s smaller and has a good reputation for being more nurturing than the bigger Westminster academies. It is loud during break and there is no outdoor space.

Another for MBS – it's been great so far.

My DD is at St George's and loves it. Yes, they do take children of other faiths (we are not Catholic), but Catholics get the highest priority. All of those schools (except maybe Marylebone Boys?) are oversubscribed though, so you'd just have to get on waiting lists and see what happens. I visited Westminster Academy and thought it was fine. What about Harris St John's Wood? I don't think they're oversubscribed and it's pretty good. If you're close to St George's it shouldn't be too far for you.

Edit: I didn't realise this was an old post. I'll leave my feedback though in case it's helpful for anyone else.
