ST Helens versus Northwood College

Offers day today, starting this thread as DD has offers from both and although we have some time to decide, we are truly torn! Would appreciate any advice, input on this. Historically STH has had better GCSE and A level results (although the gap now is not too much) and the grounds are nicer however I have seen many benefits to both. DD slight preference is NWC.

Completely biased but I loved NWC as a pupil. Hopefully it still has the same ethos where they got a good balance between pushing you but not hot housing.

My daughter goes to NWC and it's absolutely brilliant. Pastoral support is top notch. DD has been there since nursery and we have had no complaints.

Although St Helens has a "good" reputation, would like to point out our experience. My DD subject was not submitted for marking, we found out on A level results day which resulted in her uni offer being pulled as no grade/mark.

The school admitted to their mistake but the approach and handling of the whole situation by the chair of governors was appalling.
