What other jobs would I look for?

Secondary school Art teacher. Been in the profession a decade, really enjoy the job, but just considering what else might be out there? I am an artist, so creative, working with young people I love, but potentially a job with a bit more flexibility.. not sure what. What have teachers moved onto after working in schools? Feel like I may need a new challenge soon!

art therapist? play therapist?
it would mean some upgrading but if you're a teacher probably not too much.
move this from secondary education to mature retraining section for more ideas.

Thankyou! Unsure how to move a post, will have a go later 😂

If you're willing to take a pay cut then look at education co-ordinator roles (e.g., for museums). There was a great role up at Chester Zoo recently for £28,000 per year and I was sorely tempted, but I just can't afford to take the drop in pay- so it looks like I'm putting my big girl pants on and teaching double year 9 tomorrow after all!

I hear u Zae134. Been doing it 25 yrs. I'm tired😥

Ergh double Year 9, I feel you! That sounds amazing, unfortunately I am south of England. Wouldn't mind a slight pay cut, things are a little tight financially so couldn't be a huge one.. have considered Art therapy actually, may look at doing an MA with the Open University potentially to pursue that one! Any more suggestions, would love some other ideas I haven't considered!
