Wycombe high school and JHGS buses

Hi,

I'm trying to research buses to the Wycombe schools at the top of the hill.

It seems neither WHS nor JHGS appears on the council bus transport page, what am I missing? The schools pages send you to the council page which is irrelevant https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools-index/school-transport/school-bus-timetables/

There's a long list of commercial bus operators on the bucks page. Do I just need to go through every one of them?

There don't seem many buses at all! Do most people go by car from surrounding villages?

Thanks

There were coaches laid on by the council when my brother and I did this journey.......35 years ago.

HTH 😆

Hahaha thanks! Lol

There's the airline bus / some oxford tube buses which stop at lewknor but they're expensive and not set up for season tickets for lewknor to Wycombe.

I'd have thought the schools would have a map of all the buses on their websites but they don't seem to!

My daughter went to WH for a year in 2018 (sorry left because it is an exam sweat shop - we love Borlase though!).
it depends where you live - when my daughter went there was a bus into marlow but I think they were considering dropping it
parents from cookham privately organised a private bus from memory
perhaps just drop the reception an email and ask them they will know

@jellyjester I'm afraid it is a case of trawling through all the companies' links for private buses, although I've just done that and not found anything! I found this for John Hampden:
BUS-CONTACT-LIST-Academic-Year-2023-24-1.pdf

From a council point of view, WH and JHGS are served by public buses around the close local area - the 300 coming from the north, and the 850/800 from Marlow. I know of a private coach service from Maidenhead.
Red Eagle run the 331 from Chinnor - is that close enough to you?

Other than that, it would be asking the schools themselves, I'd think.

Thanks for the suggestions and the bus list from JHGS is helpful! Seems like not many buses from Chinnor. There's one that gets you to the bus station but then it's a fair walk to the schools.
