Does anyone have any recent experience or knowledge of these schools?

We are looking for a nurturing school which will help DD to regain her confidence. She was at a non-selective girls' school but this was taken over by a co-ed selective school and she has lost her confidence along the way. We are looking at moving her for seniors as she does not like the competitive environment. She loves reading and is creative, preferring subjects such as art, drama and DT but is not sporty and does not enjoy games.

DD is a highly sensitive child and, after a recent assessment, ASD has been ruled out. Academically she is doing fine; we are looking for a school that will help her to achieve her potential in an unpressured environment and we're hoping that one of these schools might fit the bill.

I don't have a lot to add except we looked around Sibford and thought it looked very good. I think for Montessori you'd need a very self motivated child.

Thanks for your response, Holu. What did you like about Sibford and is it a school you are still considering?

We liked the inclusive nature of the school and the pastoral care. Our DD is currently at a selective senior school and we are letting her try year 9 next year. If it doesn't go well we will move to Sibford.

That's good to hear; thanks for your insight. I wish your DD well.
