Hi
I need advice as I am looking at 11 plus mocks for my child, I saw Marie Remond ,Susan Daughtery and Examberry they look the same and the price is the same.

I am tutoring at home and I want to do 2or 3 . Anybody child sat these mocks and can give me ideas on how they are compare to real exam , Is it worth doing more or 2 is enough. Thanks

What schools are you looking at and where are you based? I would suggest doing 2-3. One in summer term of year 5, one early autumn year 6 and one in October of year 6 before exams if for private schools or if grammar then one in summer term, one during g the summer and on early autumn term before the exams.

I have heard of examberry, but not the rest. I think any mock test center that has the same sort of test format to the exam your child will take is what you should do.

AE is quite a big tuition centre in Slough. Might be good to do their mock exams.

I am aware of them but they don't have any mocks on their websites! Do you know if they do one for outside candidates ?

They’re all pretty similar.
i’d just go for the ones with dates that suit.

we did three. One in the may (to see what we needed to concentrate on) and then two in the summer.

My DD sat the 11+ in Reading and did 2 mocks with Chuckra and 1 mock with Marie Redmond.

In reporting to the parents;

Chuckra showed the analysis of every question including difficulty level.
Marie Redmond showed a video solution to only the questions she got wrong.

I just asked my daughter and she said Marie Redmond was the most similar to the real exam for her. But note that that was the last mock she did.

I hope this helps

We did 3 examberry mocks in the autumn term of year 6 (grammar stage 1, 2 and 2 types of independent) and highly recommend them.

Both DD and DS did two exams with Susan Daughtrey. It was good practice both for the questions and the experience of the whole exam hall set up. In DD's first one, she forgot to look at the clock at the beginning for example. I don't think she'll ever make that mistake in an exam again!
