History GCSE and SPaG

I posted a couple of hours ago but I stupidly wrote the exam board wrong and MNHQ deleted my whole thread when I reported my error.

I should have written Edexcel (not AQA). Would the kind poster mind reposting their advice re how the 5% SPaG marks work for my recently diagnosed as dyslexic Y11 DD?

This more general, as not doing History, but normally there is a question that is used to assess the SpAg marks, and outside that question it's not assessed.

My DD is very dyslexic. Punctuation and grammar are hit and miss, and spelling is all phonetic and often the same word is spelt 3 or 4 different ways within a single paragraph.

We discussed losing all the SpAg marks and just having spell check software enabled for GCSEs and the verdict was that she was still likely to gain a good 50% of the marks available and so to attempt it.

Regarding History, Edexcel have the following guidance:
Paper 1:
Section B: thematic study
This section is worth 20%* of the total qualification.
It is marked out of 36.
Of the 36 marks, up to 4 marks in Question 5/6 will be awarded for spelling, punctuation, grammar and use of specialist terminology (SPaG).
All question parts are compulsory.

Paper 3:
Section B
This section is worth 20%* of the total qualification.
It is marked out of 36.
Of the 36 marks, up to 4 marks in Question 3 (d) will be awarded for spelling, punctuation, grammar and use of specialist terminology (SPaG).
All question parts are compulsory.
