Sorry - its a long list but I was hoping to get some information from parents with kids at these schools - I am looking at places for my son in sixth form. He is very bright, somewhat lazy, an all rounder academically but leans to the social sciences - history, psychology . He is very musical so lots of extra curricular is very important. A school that really gets to know your child as an individual is very important to me as he has had struggles with anxiety but a school that will also encourage him academically. Would be hugely grateful for your observations.

Sorry to add another to your list (I don't have much I can say on those you've listed for 6th form, though I do know kids lower down the school at many of them) - but have you considered RGS High Wycombe? Boys but 6th form is going co-ed next September. The music is excellent and I've found the SEN team really supportive (if that's what he needs with his anxiety).

Hi Redkite. Thanks. I will look into high Wycombe.

Music is a very big part of life at Reading School too @feltflower My son is there doing A Levels in History, English Lit and Economics and getting lots of tutor support and the sense of school community is excellent.

Holyport is great for academics in the 6th Form. They get exposure to all the societies and talks at Eton College, which is a massive bonus. I’ve been told the boarding really helps with the transition to university.
