Please can current parents share thoughts on both schools. DD currently in prep school - academically great, 129 cat score - just done ISEB this week
anyone know how many girls apply to LEH for year 7

Lots apply to LEH because the catchment is so big (see the coach routes map) and for some it's a back up to Tiffin, some it's a stretch and for some it's a back up to the SW London girls schools like Putney High, Wimbledon High, and the Hammersmith schools. This means they offer lots of places as not all offers are accepted. Don't forget the junior school girls also take up a proportion of the year 7 places.
Wellington and LEH are really different schools, a mixed monied boarding school with small % day pupils v a west London girls day school set in a suburban setting with a large local intake.

I'm guessing you live near Ascot, which does your dd prefer?

DD really likes LEH. We are in Windsor and really hoping she makes it through!! Wellington would be a day option for us as she doesn’t want to board. We don’t have any backups either..she will be doing the problem solving test next week.
Are you also going through this process?? It’s just awful that we don’t get the results or find out till next year if we got a space! It’s going to be a Xmas of a lot mixed emotions this year 😔

@mumtoAAA , I'm a local parent (but not at LEH) but you need a back up option for LEH. The interview stage of LEH is selective, if they don't think your dd has what they are looking for you can fall at the stage. How about another Berkshire school if you don't want Wellington?

Thankyou @tennissquare do you know what Leh are looking for?

Wow have things really changed?

LEH used to be head and shoulders over Wimbledon and especially Putney High.

@PrimeLocation , for A level results in 2024 LEH was 78% A star to A, Putney 74% and WHS 81%.

@mumtoAAA , LEH are looking for the same as all the other schools; curious, interesting young people with independent thinking (but it helps if you are robust).
