Any A level music teachers out there?

DS2 is doing a music A level and whilst he absolutely loves playing music he is having a bit of a wobble because there don't seem to be many resources to help with the music analysis (unlike say English lit analysis). The revision guides seem to be very high level and I haven't found a 'text book'. He is ASD and gets in quite a lather about things so I am trying to help him get back on an even keel. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good resources or guidance to approach the analysis (and composition) parts of A level music (AQA)? Thanks!

I teach part of the A level Music course but not AQA. However, a quick google took me to the AQA website with what looks like decent teaching notes for A level: https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/music/a-level/music-7272/teaching-resources If they are anything like the board I teach, they will cover the main content in lots of (maybe too much) detail.

Composition is more of a challenge. Again, I don't know lots about AQA specifically so it would be worth reading the specification and then looking at what he could do.
