So Crossley Heath and NHG is now changing from GL to FCSE as exam provider.
The GL Assessments are multiple-choice and test English, Maths, Verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
FSCE 11 plus exams consist of an English comprehension, Maths, and creative writing paper. They do not test reasoning. Also they only test to work to the end of Year 5 I think?
I cannot find much on how the creative writing paper is marked and they state the content of their exams is to the end of Year 5.
If children are only tested to work upto the end of Year 5 is this to reduce the advantage of those kids who are tutored or attend private schools, as they are taught work in advance of their school year ? If so would this then mean that children will all score highly so the scores will be less spread out?
