Hiya! I desperately want to send DS to WLFS but since he’s not into one of the feeders primary schools , it’s almost impossible. He is into music and for the last 2,5 years he has guitar and singing lessons. How difficult is it to pass the music aptitude test? Has anyone any experience? TIA

It's easily the most pathetic "aptitude" test that I have seen from any school.

They want zero information on instruments, grades etc and it was a 5 minute set of aural tests and nothing else.

My DD sat 7 music scholarships and was offered 5... she's predominantly a singer and was at G6/7 level at the time. Aural tests are things she can do in her sleep and I know she scored 100% on those in the scholarships where I was given score breakdowns.

WLFS was one of the two she wasn't offered (not a problem as it wasn't in our top 3 choices anyway) so I have no idea how they actually selected.

FWIW, one of my DNs was at WLFS and was so miserable they moved after a year.
