Marylebone girls music aptitude

Asking for a friend (I have boys!) Does anyone know what happens in the round 2 of the choral music aptitude test for Marylebone girls? A friend's daughter has been sent an email, apparently there is a song they have to prepare for but don't know what else to expect. Thanks for any advice

I am also interested as my DD was also selected for round 2. It says there are also aural tests but no further information on this.

“Music (Instrumental) Round 2 Aptude Test
The highest scoring Music (Instrumental) applicants from the Music Round 1 Aptude Test will be invited to aend the Music (Instrumental) Round 2 Aptude Test, which usually takes place on a Saturday morning in early October. This test will assess musical aptude further, but sll assumes no previous musical knowledge or experience. The test will involve a second aural test and applicants will be invited to perform something which demonstrates their musical aptude, on ONE instrument of their choice.”

Their website says this which is surprising because our local music tests don’t have the children playing instruments… how else can you “assume no prior knowledge”.

At a different school my daughter had to sing back melodys (I think children had the option to play on a glockenspiel instead), identify instruments in music, and tap back rhythms.

Wondering if you managed to get a place in the end?

We did however my DD is going to a different school in the end.

@GummyNut - what level of music training you DD had at that time? My daughter plays the piano (taking classes for about 4 years) but more casually. She knows how to play but she is not an advanced player.
