Hi I would really love your thoughts, we just cannot make up our minds and would like to hear from people with real experiences. Thank you

Where do you live? I’d start there.

NewHall is a catholic school, Brentwood is CofE. NH is not commutable really by public transport, Brentwood is. Kids coming into NH by the private bus service can have a really long day depending on where you live.

Academically, both schools suffer from the brightest kids being creamed off by the Grammars. Not to say that bright kids don’t go to either School and both schools have attempted to make themselves more academically rigorous on their intake - but as the VAT element impacts on future enrolment I’d be cautious that entry requirement levels may lower. Brentwood offers IB, NH does not.

I’d choose the one that’s the easiest commute. New Hall will be accessible by train once the Beaulieu Park station opens (end of 2025?).
