Hi, is anyone aware when the results of the Chestnut Grove specialist tests are declared? Thanks.

A couple of years ago and I can't remember the exact date but if was definitely before the 31st October

Miseducation · 29/09/2024 10:53

Last year results came out on the10 October.

MumInDilemma · 29/09/2024 13:06

Ok thanks. Just thought it might be earlier considering the exam took place on the 14th of Sept. Perhaps it would be declared together with the Wandsworth test results on the 23rd of October.

the main results are October but quite a lot of people turn places down in the end - someone who's say in place 20+ on the waitlist might well get a place as late as the summer.

Results are out!

MumInDilemma · 11/10/2024 13:57

@Popcorntv thanks!! And yes I know, my daughter has got through! Really happy and proud of her.

Do you know if the children who passed this test will be in the same class/set? Or they will be set for different subjects separately?

PatientVesta · 11/10/2024 16:42

Sorry to jump on this thread, but somehow we still haven't had the results. I tried to contact the school but I think they are out for the day now. Should have contacted earlier!!!

Congratulations! Mine too (ML). I’m assuming they will be all taught together for their specialist subject but must admit I don’t know for certain.

I had inquired with the student that took us for the tour at the Open day. She was a Language Specialist student and informed me that they had a Specialist class together apart from the general Language/Art class.

So I believe they will be set for different subjects separately, but those that have joined via the Specialist route will have one Specialist class together.

@PatientVesta, Perhaps they haven’t sent all the results out yet. Wait until Monday, if not inquire. I’m sure they should revert in Monday.

Apologies - I congratulated the wrong post! Been a long week…

When a friend had their result I worried that there could have been a problem, but thought I’d wait a bit longer. After 4pm I called and sent an email but of course they left for the day. Now
my anxiety levels won’t resist until Monday!!!

They will be in different forms but will have one specialist lesson a week together.

In Y7 they are mostly in form classes apart from some subjects which are mixed with other forms. In Y8 they are mixed up even more and are set for Maths only.
