Oxford girls secondaries - Headington or St Helens and St Katherine's

Hello, I'm a mum of aY6 and wondered if anyone had views on these two schools. I know both are good schools. But I don't know enough and would love any personal views/experience. I've a musical, bright and academically engaged DD who's sensitive and won't be into rowing or any ball sports but is enthused by lessons especially science - and music/art/DT/drama. I'm veering towards St Helen's - it's strong on STEM, I really liked the head, and has a chapel choir... at Headington the art is great, amazing facilities, etc, but I heard there is less pastoral care/individual attention, big events tend to be rained off without contingency plans, they don't stream/set maths until the girls are older (which is a problem for the more able girls). Location is not an issue. We looked at OHS and loved the head and the vibe but it doesn't have a DT department so that's ruled out. I would welcome any views. It's girls only I'm looking at. We could go further afield than Oxfordshire but starting here as we know it a bit! Thank you!

I've had a daughter go through Headington and I highly recommend the school. We found pastoral care was good and they accommodated her needs well. Maths is streamed from Y8 from what I remember and was not a problem for her as one of the more able girls.

Thanks spikeandbuffy and Blippo, for taking the time to reply - that's encouraging re your daughter and Headington.
