Hello

Please could anyone share their experience of this school for an above average child with manageable learning difficulties? Facilities and pastoral seem amazing.

Only heard good things about this school and we considered it for my DS but he wouldn’t entertain the vegetarian side - also the Sanskrit and vague link to old religious order put us off.
Tends to have lots of quirky kids and a relatively high number of SEN, but the school seems to support them well New head master starts in September so something to bear in mind.
have you also looked at reeds and Halliford? Both very good for SEN and nurturing too

Thanks so much! This is very helpful. I’ve heard of Halliford, but as we are based in C London, the commute would be difficult (I think). SJ has a bus that we could get to.

Halliford excellent. Can't see how commute harder than ashford? Also look into Kingston grammar.

I don't think the Kingston grammar accept Ashford kids anymore.
I'm looking to more to Ashford area but already question about the 2nd grammar/good school there.
So difficult decision

@driedapricots101 do you know if there are any good state 2nd school around Ashford please.
I love St James or Hampston but would only ready to pay for the 6th form (2 Alevel year).

Kingston Grammar School accept children from anywhere. You might be thinking of Tiffin, which has a catchment?
