Can anyone recommend a good French intensive school for a seventeen year old this summer? Ideally a mix of fun and French somewhere nice, but with a homestay or similar?

OISE are pretty good. Though it's very late for bookings. (I used to work for their UK branch and summer bookings tend to be made the previous autumn for this kind of thing- not sure how the French wing works though)

Thanks - yes, it's all a bit of a scramble as something else fell through and she;'s had a big of a crappy year thanks to some Mean Girls, so a distraction seems like a good idea.

Morzine is great - lots of outdoor activities to do and the town is small enough you can wander around easily. Plus you get a 'transport' card which gives you free access to buses and lifts.
