Does anyone have experience of London Park Schools?

Hi all, I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of the London Park Group of secondary schools. We are looking to enrol my 14 year old Step Daughter but would love to hear some first hand experiences 🙏

If you search on the forum, you’ll find recent reviews, which haven’t been great.

Yes I saw those. I'd hoped for more info. It's such a small school what are the chances of one of the parents being on MN? But I would still appreciate more information.... even more recent information!

Sorry I mean London Park Clapham, that's the one I really want to know more about. I know there's been some unhappiness with the central London school run by them but wondering if it affects London Park Clapham.

My grandchildren attend EHTM which is owned by the same group and are pleased, but are not considering LP C, they didn’t expand on why.

Our headmaster discourages us to apply (prep school near London Park Clapham).

@FyodorDForever do you know why? do you know anyone who has gone there?

@AppleStruddle123 he said it wouldn’t be challenging my DC enough (academically mostly). I don’t know anybody who goes there, no.

It is very small at the moment and seen as a school you go to if you need a lot more support or haven't got a place elsewhere. At my Dc's prep, children go to Streatham and Clapham, Woldingham, Thomas's senior, St James before LPS. Children who don't get into those schools go to LPS- to be blunt.
It has a good vision but a long way to go to achieving it.

It’s also extremely boy heavy. Friend’s child (boy) has one girl in the whole (albeit small) year group.
I know the Duke’s group well and most of the preps in the same group don’t recommend it to anyone unless they literally won’t get in anywhere else.

So why us it rated outstanding in its last offstead

I hope you found the right school for your step-daughter. Just wanted to add my voice to this thread and say that we've found LPS Clapham to be a welcoming, nurturing space where our child has been welcomed into the community, challenged academically and is thriving.
