Bushey meads/Watford girls or queens!

Hi all,

where do I start? Moving to Watford within the next 6-8 weeks or so. Quite keen to know how Bushey meads is as a school. I know they thrive academically but other than that - nothing.

I currently live in brent and want to move before applications open September for 2025 admissions. The issue I have is, I can’t visit the schools until they have their open days which is most commonly in October. Obviously, if you’re not taking the 11+ for Watford girls, furthest distance is like half a mile.

My daughter takes a keen interest in sports so planning to sign her up for the sports aptitude test today for queens.

any advice with any of the schools is highly appreciated!

My daughter will be going to Queens school from September, no actual experience but based on online reviews and historical data.
watford grammar schools comes first then queens and finally Bushey meads.
depends on your area on interest and academic interest.

How did your daughter get a place?
Was it based on academic ability, do you live close to the school. Was this ur first choice for ur daughter? Sorry, for the 100 questions

she did the 11+ exam, we live near the school and it was out first choice.

That totally makes sense. Hopefully, things will work out for us too. X
