Urgent!!! Watford, Herts Croxley Danes or Westfield!

I'll make this brief! My daughter got Westfield but all her friends are going Croxley Danes. She was upset originally but came round to the idea as she reffered Westfield and I do due to better sen support but I always said will be her decision!

She has been given a place at Croxley (waiting list held for 24hrs) but I'm not sure what to do and have to decide by 10am!

Any reviews on either? I know all schools have good and bad but I have no idea what to do

Some general thoughts...

Journey - how easy or otherwise is the journey to / from Croxley Danes vs Westfield?

Friendships - dynamics change once they start secondary school. New friendships develop, old ones do fade

  • she and her friends may be in different tutor and teaching groups and see little more of each other than of they were at different schools.
  • where do these existing friends live? Re second point above, can she easily see them after school / at weekends anyway (or not, re first point...)?

How pertinent is the SEN provision to your DD specifically?

I would say Croxley Danes but that's without knowing your journey or dds sen needs.

Thank you for your reply.

Westfield is right next door basically about 6min walk.

Croxley is about 15min walk.

Her friends live close enough I reckon but I did tell her friendships are good but they do change in high school.

With regards to sen she receives sen support but no diagnosis etc it's more semh support she receives but waiting further investigations.
