Where to find plain clothes & shoes - no logos whasoever?

DS starts secondary school in September and he needs:

  • plain dark coat - no patterns & no logos
  • plain black sports trainers - no patterns & no logos

No logos or patterns whatsoever. Where can I find clothes and shoes that match this? Surprisingly it is hard to find items with absolutely no logos whatsoever.

You need advice from mums whose kids are already there.
Our schools have all had facebook groups for mums to join. Also a parents association facebook page, one of which sold 2nd hand uniform. You could also talk to your child's year 6 teacher, ask if they could point you towards anyone who may know.
If all else fails, you could try a driveby of the school. Perhaps try to chat to a parent waiting for pickup or just observe what the kids are wearing. You could also ring the school.
Are you sure that black logos are not OK? My kids school require all black school trainers and if they have any logos, they must be in black only. I initially thought that would be hard but there are absolutely loads in Sports Direct, so its clearly a common school rule.
