Online exam walkthrough GCSE history

Son is in Year10 and doing GCSE history. He's quite knowledgeable about his subject matter but I think his exam technique needs a bit of work. I can across someone online who does an online exam walkthrough for English which looked really useful- you get the past paper and she talks about how she would tackle each question. I think a session like that for AQA history would really help him. Does anyone know of someone who does this? Obviously I can get a tutor but was looking for something a. It cheaper. The English one was only £10 and you get a copy of the recording to go back over.

These may even be free. Have a look at the resources available for his exam board. I teach MFL.and know there is something similar for free.

If you type it into YouTube you will find walkthroughs with tutors talking through exam questions and answers. There are great resources out there.

AQA GCSE History exam walkthrough - be specific to the exam board.

Amazing! I had no idea it was a thing. I did my exams sooo long ago nothing like this was available.

We used the cna practice test 2025 as a quick way to get used to answering under time pressure—it’s obviously not history content, but my teen found switching between different formats helped build general focus and exam stamina. Pairing that with topic-specific online quizzes really made a difference. Letting them talk it out while walking around seemed to help the info stick too.
