Seeking recent experiences with Lady Margaret and Twyford CofE High School for our daughter, who was offered Lady Margaret as her second choice but is high on the waiting list for Twyford.
Considerations include:
- Distance isn't a factor.
- We have two younger sons who would benefit from having an older sibling at Twyford, although it's not a decisive factor.
- Lady Margaret offers a warm, nurturing environment, while Twyford is academically focused and disciplined. Our daughter is artistic, and Lady Margaret offers more creative facilities, but we don't want to assume Twyford lacks in this area.
- Our daughter has dyslexia and Irlen's Syndrome, so finding a school with strong support if needed is crucial. Twyford's general assessment process and SEN department have positive reviews, while there are some concerns about slow communication with Lady Margaret's SEN department and their support for children that need it outside of an EHC plan.
