We are looking to move in the next couple of years and whilst I know that things change, we are starting to research the schools now as it seem like a bit of a minefield. We are moving predominantly because of schools, but also we like the area and spend a lot of time there already. We live on the South East coast and our choice of schools is rather limited. We have two good independent schools and one outstanding state, but absolutely no grammars. We want a bigger choice for as our son gets older, and whilst it’s too soon to tell what route he will suit, we still want the choice.
So my question is, if one of the grammars will suit our son (and he got in), what are the best prep schools in the area, as we are happy to pay for it if it’s the best option. Or, what are the best state primaries, and we will of course fund tuition.
or, if the independent route will suit our son, what are the best prep and upper schools in the area, and does anyone have any thoughts on their performance with so many grammars in the area.
