Hello
How hard is it to get into St James' School? Is it over-subscribed? We are trying for a transfer place in year 9 - we just did the exam ....just trying to work out how hopeful we can be. Any view appreciated

yes that school - do you like it? We have an interview tomorrow -we loved it when we looked round ....trying to get into year 9 ....but how hard is it to get in?

we like it. DD in year 8 now (started in year 7)

It's not super hard to get in I think. In that area, it's similarly selective as Queens college, Queens Gate, Francis Holland Sloan Square etc. But it's small (only 2 form year group) and now a days over half come from the prep school - so probably appears more selective than it really is in year 7.

Later on every year usually has few places as some international students leave each year.
