Any Scottish secondary teachers here?

Hi, my son is in 6th year and has his admin and IT higher assignment on Tuesday. It’s under exam conditions but he doesn’t think every class is doing it on the same day. He’s been off school Thurs/Fri and still has high temp, cough, sore throat etc. If he’s still sick will the school let him sit in another day? He did badly in his prelim so won’t help to not sit it and get mitigating circumstances. Thanks

The best thing to do is contact the school first thing, explain the situation and see what they say. I know previously, my brother had to get a sick line from thr gp to complete his assignment with another class but it depends on the school restrictions. If it’s under exam conditions then it may fall under the same rules if if you’re sick during an actual exam.
Phone in the morning and ask to speak to his guidance teacher or head of the year to find out what will happen.
